Halton Hills Hydro Launches Online Customer Engagement Platform

July 29, 2019

Halton Hills Hydro is pleased to launch a new customer engagement website to gather input into its five year planning process. Entitled ‘Have Your Say’, the site will be used to capture customer feedback as the utility develops its 2021-2025 Distribution System Plan.  The plan will then be submitted to the Ontario Energy Board for approval. “Gaining input from a wide range of customers is important to us. We realize that traditional phone surveys and public meetings can be inconvenient for customers,” said Art Skidmore, President & CEO of Halton Hills Hydro.  “The online platform provides an easy way for customers to engage and share their thoughts.”

The new site allows customers to contribute through surveys, quick polls and idea forums. Customers will be asked to comment around a number of topics including reliability, safety, automation and cost. The easy-to-navigate site is full of information about Halton Hills Hydro’s projects and rate setting process.

“Halton Hills Hydro is demonstrating leadership in the industry through implementing an innovative, cost effective approach to customer engagement,” stated Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette.

The site will be open for customer input throughout 2019. Feedback will be used to create the utility’s Distribution System Plan which will be filed with the Ontario Energy Board in 2020. A final report on the customer input will be published on the Have Your Say website.

Customers can participate by visiting HaveYourSay.HaltonHillsHydro.com. Input can also be provided by using the hashtag #HaveYourSayHHH on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
